My home SPS reef [175G/800l]

Very beautiful corals, very beautiful system for that matter. What part of the spectrum (Kelvin wise) do you like to keep the system, or the display I should say?
Also, how do you keep the great lighting in your shots without blocking it with the camera? Sorry if these are easily answered questions that I should have read or passed over.

+1 for TOTM! Fantastic color...

I'm not sure I've understand you right but I'm using several different T5 bulbs combination :

1 Giessman Actinic +
2 Ati Coral Plus
3 FM Royal
4 Ati Aquablue Special
5 Giessman Aquapink
6 Giessman Actinic +
7 Ati Aquablue Special
8 FM Royal
9 Ati Coral Plus
10 Giessman Actinic +

The light seems a little blue to me - if I had to guess I'd say around 18k K but it's just my opinion/guess.

When I'm taking photos I rise my lamp to about 50cm above water and try to make the camera cast a shadow over the coral to avoid reflections from the bulbs. Since the coral is illuminated from all sides it doesn't make any problem - pictures are still bright.
Hope that answers your questions.

Paweł

Thanks, sorry I felt like I didn't fully explain the question but you answered it. Eventually I would like to have at least half the success that you have and wanted to know how to take a proper picture.

I gotta say I envy your pinks and reds, I have a hard time holding pinks. Tank looks great.

This is beautiful!!! wow just amazing. Im in the process of setting up a 300 I want everything you have haha. I want the top layer SPS field but on the bottom im going to do one half chalices and one half zoas! Man just amazing!!! Nice Job. Whats your maintenance schedule look like how often do you do water changes, etc...

Thank you all.
My shedule looks quite normal:
-I make ~10-15% WC every weekend with Fauna Marine Pro salt,
- every 2-3 days I clean my skimmer pot.
-I'm testing for KH every day after the lights are off and adjust my reactor if needed to keep ~7-8dKH.
-Once a week (Sat. morning) I'm testing No3, Po4, Ca,Mg,KH before water change.
-I feed my corals once a week with well mixed sea fruits+Reef Pearls food.

I'm trying to keep it simple now.
regards
Pawel
