My home SPS reef [175G/800l]

Simply amazing! I'd take one of each please. And the receipt in the bag is fine.

So at this point I just want to say TOTM as we really need to learn more about this amazing tank and set up.

Michael

Another world class tank from Poland.. Congratulations Pawel..

Thank you very much. I'm very happy you like my photos.

So many beautiful colors I hope to see in y tank some day. :D

Do any of these have names? In particular the reddish one with the green coralites?

Hi Mark - this is only my guess but..
1) A. Tumida
2) A. Microclados - Strawberry Shortcake morph
3) No idea
4) No idea
5) A. Tricolor
6) A. Hyacinthus
7) A. Millepora
8) No idea
9) A. Abrotanoides
10) No sure, but may be some kind of A. Microclados

btw. I was using Pacific Sun Pandora Hyperion LED+T5 combo but K. Tryc (and his tank) made me change my lamp to ATI Powermodule :)

Incredible tank.

Do you have any tips for using biopellets? Have you had any issues with bacteria blooms or starving the corals?

Thank you Kole Tang.
I'd recommend to start with small amount of biopellets at first, and than add a little more every week - if needed. When I overdosed all in one biopellets (I've put 2 litres at once into my system) my corals looked grey and growth almost sopped. It took about a month for them to recover. Hopefully I've managed to avoid any losses but I had some TN on my corals.

Pawel

the photography and coral health is absolutely astounding!!
well done!
amazing.
the music in your video on the past page dates you a little. :) i haven't heard Enya in a looooong time.. goes well with the video.
wondering how much and what types of food do you add for the fish and corals.
i read 'reef fruits and reef pearls' a few pages back.. not sure what reef fruits is..
how much fish food are you adding?
again, stunning tank!!

Thank you all.It really makes me proud that you like my tank.

@Matt - You are refereeing to "-I feed my corals once a week with well mixed sea fruits+Reef Pearls food.", yes?
When I said "sea fruits" I meant clams and shrimps from nearby grocery. (2 clams and 2 shrimps to be exact) - hope it is clear now.
I also feed my fish 6-8 cubes of frozen food a day (different kinds).

Recently I wanted to try something different (not to solve any problem - just curiosity) so I've changed my filtration and feeding system - I'll try to make and update soon.

Pawel

btw. here's FTS from 31th Dec.

Thanks for the clarification. Makes sense.. Super low nutrients and super high nutrient input.
I'm curious to know how you have changed your filtration technique.

Hi,
I didn't discovered anything new :) - I've just wanted to try something different to see if there will any positive or negative change so I've recently switched to Zeovit. My plan is to try it for a few next months and than decide if it's good for me or not.

Pawel

Interesting. You have already achieved the equivalent of a Zeo tank...
It will be interesting to see how the tank reacts.
Good luck and don't stop posting pics! :)

Thank you Kooka.
I również pozdrawiam :)

Any shots of the equipment underneath running this absolutley beautiful reef.

There is nothing under the tank :) - the sump and the rest of the stuff is located behind a wall.
There are some photos on the 1st page on this thread - they are quite old but the main difference is that there is no macro algae tank and instead of biopellets reactor I've got KZ M zeolit reactor. I'll try to post some new pictures in the following weeks.

Paweł

oh. and then I gave you the date of the FTS it should be I suppose 31st Dec. 2014 not "31th" sorry about that.
