Should I use a mag-drive or external return pump?
Which brand and size?

I plan on using about 250lbs of live rock, should I go DSB or 1" sand in the Display?{I do want to keep jawfish}

Looking to keep SPS and LPS, should I start with a reactor or add it later? What kind?

Thanks to all for helping me properly set up my system!

Ryan

PS If Im forgetting anything let me know!

looks impressive.
Is the sump to be located in the stand?

I strongly favor no DSB in the main display aquarium.
A reactor can be added later. An RO unit would be a wiser choice to spend on.

Yeah I forgot to add that I need to get an RO system but I am definately getting one.

The sump will be under the stand.

you'll be getting great in-tank flow from the Ampmaster on the CL so you won't need a mega size main pump. Look for something that's very quiet and very reliable.
Maybe some others can chime in with suggestions...

I've used the mag drives in sump and don't think they're exceptionally quiet nor is the Iwaki but my pumps are in the basement. Sequence pumps seem quieter.

I would drill a larger cl intake or add another. I have found that one can cause a lot of suction and pull stuff through it. Mine is too close to the surface and pulls air in from the surface, very annoying.
