When I first got into this hobby, I always thought it would be great to breed clownfish. I've had a clownfish for about 8 months, and it has become my undisputed favorite fish. It's survived two tanks, and every crazy problem the hobby has thrown my way. My roommate has implored me to get the clown an anemone. I figured if I was doing that, I might as well get it a mate as well. The clown was sold to me as a Amphiprion percula, but I have always been suspicious that it is an Amphiprion ocellaris. After researching the subject, I came to the conclusion that it is in fact a Amphiprion ocellaris. I went to a LFS I trust today and picked up another Amphiprion ocellaris that was roughly 2/3 the size of my current tank inhabitant. I drip acclimated the fish for a couple hours in the sump. As I got ready to introduce the new clownfish to the tank, I was prepared experience a bit of a struggle, but hoped the size difference would aid in submission. Much to my surprise, the new clown swam directly towards the existing one. Without as much as an aggressive lunge, they have been inseparable ever since. I'll give it a couple weeks to try and ensure they have in fact paired, and then it's anemone shopping time!

I have to agree with you. Those are cute little ocellaris. I wouldn't worry about them not getting along. They should be fine. By this time next year, if you feed them well, you should have eggs.
