My Leemar 90 Build.

Been following along. It looks really great.

What kind of foam did you use to connect the rocks? Did you mix it with rubble?

Oigimsar, Thanks and I used Pond foam. It is more expensive than great stuff. About 16-20 dollars per can. It is black and it is fish safe. I have used it on my ponds for years.

first time in marine though. I have read through many foam rock wall builds and most of the reefers are using this stuff..... A few of them are using great stuff from the home depot's and lowe's of the world, there just is not a lot of info on whether or not it is truley reef safe.

I think we are going to go primarily with softies....

Zoas, richordia, mushroom.... All from my wifes 29 gallon.

My acan, duncan colonies, frog spawn and hammer head will go in there from my red sea max.

I want one montipora (ok maybe 2)

I have a few other things that will move to it as well....

Fish list..... Anthias (haven't decided which ones yet), Purple tang, and naked clowns....
Inverts..... Fire Shrimp and a few others....

I am going to post my fish list here shortly.....

Let me know when you're ready. I have a Seasons greeting monti for you (if you're interested) to help get you started. I also have some Green and Red as well.
Ever think about stronger lighting just in case you decide to go SPS?

Actually my wife and I decided on Metal Halide last night for sure....

I need a fixture with 2 150 HQI and supplemental T5 with LED for moon light...

Season's greetings? what does that one look like?

I have a really nice green monti in my red sea, but I think it is firmly stuck to the rock now. I don't want to break it.....

I really like the green and Idaho grape combo.... but, the monti's seem to be my favorite.

I also like a coral called "purple haze" that is really cool!

Post a pic of your seasons...... perhaps I will have to buy that from you.

So how do you frag it? Just cut or break a piece off? If so, you could frag a piec for me now and let it heal in your tank and then in about 6 weeks.......

Your tank looks wonderful - Very well planned, as well as executed. I can't wait to see the final result.
One question (Sorry if it has been asked).... What are your plans for the middle section that does not have a black back? Not sure if you plan to leave it as is, or if you have some other plans. Look into the "Shadow-Box" as it would look amazing on this tank with the aquascaping the way it is.

Andrew, Thanks for the compliment and yes, that is actually exactly what is is for.... a backlit shadow box. I just need to decide the best way to do it.... It is actually one of the 2 reasons I built the stand 4 inched deeper than the tank. The other was for more room underneath.

Reven..... Mike.... My neighbor.... It is actually so I can see you coming up the path and then turn off the lights and act like no one is home.....

I have got it hooked up, and really would like to learn with someone who understands the system.

I am a quick study once I see the process.....
