My loss is your gain

All acans $10,they are seriously POed and they need new homes to have a chance of making it.I can't charge anymore than $10ea and it not bother my conscious.I have approx 15 acans, take them all for $100.I also have a few zoas, capt America, vivid rainbows,$10 ea.pink lobo $10.

Chris, just saw this and making me sick. Not much to say now except So Sorry, you had such beautiful livestock in that tank. Let us know what happened so we we can steer clear of a potential catastrophe.
I'm checking over my system tonight to ensure normalcy. Again, sorry.

Honestly I think it was caused by me spraying air freshener near the tank.since the puppies have been here the tank has looked worse than normal.having 9 pups running around stirring up dust, them peeing and pooping, and me trying to keep things clean and smelling fresh caused the crash.I was using a lot of household cleaners in close proximity of the sump and tank in general.spraying are freshener all the time(mind you I always sprayed it on the opposite side of the room and low to the ground).and me having to put my hands in the tank to pick up or flip over a coral that got knocked off was the systems demise.I had just checked my parameters 3 days prior and the numbers were
Cal 410
Alk 3.6 meq/L
Nitrates 8.8ppm
PO4 .04
Salinity 1.025

Obviously my parameters are within reasonable ranges and the corals wer
doing fine a few days ago.The corals are all gone, the few I'm keeping are going to temp tanks at a few friends houses until my new system is running and ready.the fish are all spoken for so if anyone backs out I will just move to next in line.

Thanks bill,I got swamped with pms and didn't read them all.basically the first three pms took everything.

damn chris sorry for your loss i know how it feels im still tring to keep what i have left healthy you know i would have loved all those acans but when we both recoupe we might have to go in together on some new acans and "sticks" i did loose my icefire too :(

Chris, you may not have all that much down time. I bet with the puppy pee, there was a lot of ammonia in the air being absorbed into to the water. That will cycle out as soon as you sell off the puppies/get them trained/tank adapts to the excess ammonia. Maybe use the down time and excess ammonia to culture some rare softies or shrooms...

Sorry about your loss. Good luck with the next incarnation.

i really think you are spot on for what caused the demise of my tank.i figure i can take everything down and clean everything good and get it ready for the reef savvy.
