My mushroom thinks it's a bubble coral?

I got this mushroom a couple weeks ago from a friend. It's still not completely happy, but getting there. And now it looks like this:

Any idea what this means and/or is this bad? The rest of my mushrooms have been/are all fine...

And now an hour later as the lights are coming on the bubbles have been completely retracted....

It's still doing this at night. Anyone have any clue what is going on?

Hmmm. I've noticed one of my shrooms puffs up its outer rim like yours sometimes when I feed it. Do you feed at night?

I was thinking maybe a feeding response, but really never seen anything like it (not that I have extensive striped mushroom experience LOL). Try putting some food on the edge and see if it sticks like feeder tentacles. Looks really cool, though!

I don't night feed. And it seem like it does the bubble thing to some degree many nights, but never to the extent in the picture.

I'll give feeding a shot over the next couple of days and see what happens.

by the looks of it, it appears to be on a frag plug...
if that is the case (and I hope I'm wrong here) was this shroom "glued" to the plug?....
cause if it is, it's bloating up it's foot with water (ie: the bubble looking foot) and trying mighty hard to unglue itself so it can move somewhere else... :sad2:

I'm pretty sure it grabbed on it's own, but if I did glue it, I glued the rock/rubble it was attached to, so it's free to move when ever it wants. As well I'd be pretty impressed if glue actually stuck to a mushroom, heh. :hmm5: But how ever it was attached, it was several weeks ago, and it is only recently that I have noticed this bubbling. As well it's is only recently that it has started to expand and start to look happy-er.
