my nem closes up ever night and is never fully open

We need as much info as possible before we can help you properly. Items such as your tank setup, routine, parameters, species, and how long you have had them.

Some use of punctuation marks might help too.

Sounds like you need to lower your Kh.I keep mine at 10 to 11.I just tested mine too. Also I would not have my nitrates over 10ppm.Also what type of lighting do you have on your tank?Have you upgraded?Have you moved the rocks? What type of anemone is it?

THANKS,
AUSTIN/CLOWNS101

ok its a sabea i upgraded two weeks ago and it was doing great than it wouldnt come out anymore and i upgraded to t5s

im not to sure about this but it could be that it is trying to adjust to the lighting. maybe its just taking a long time to adjust

What color is it?

What size tank?

What lights did you have before hand?

What wattage of T5's and do you have individual reflectors?

What is your salinity?

what do you mean color and i the tank is 55 gallons i had those lights that came with the tank only 30 watts ahh so he was under those for about a week the t5 are over 100 watts and there r two bulbs and one reflector for them both

What color is the anemone? If it is white, it is bleached --- just wanted to know what you are dealing with.

So, I am guessing that you have 2*54 T5s with a common reflector, while that is better then what you had, IMO it isn't enough for a Sebae long term.

Sebaes need alot of light.when I had my Sebae(Heteractis Crispa)I first had it under 3 watts of light thinking that 3 watts would be good enough.Boy was I wrong.Once I had move the anemone into about 6 watts of light it then started to look better( very bleached and would not eat). After about a week or two he began to become kinda sticky but not like he was to be.So after 2 months he was very sticky and become more brown. So I think that they need about 5 to 7 wattas more likely 6.

Sorry 6 watts per the gallon. So if its a 66 gallon tank you will need about 330 watts of light over the tank.
