My new 20gal reef set up.

Skimmer has been running for a few days.

Does it look like it set up correctly?

I honestly don't think the cycle is done. You will have tons of Nitrate and you have yet to see any algae. Keep an eye out my nitrates didn't show up for 3-4 weeks and when they did I had a Algea explosion

UPDATE

Since my last post I had a diatom outbreak.



Tank is doing great. All parameters are stable. Diatoms have decreased. CUC has been working rigorously. Skimmer is pulling some gunk.

1 Coral Banded

1 Cleaner Shrimp

3 Turbo Snails

5 Hermits

1 Emerald Crab

That tank is awesome! I'd love to see what you would be able to do with a little money and a larger system. I'm gonna follow this thread for sure! Hope you keep us up to date on your tank!:fun4:

I agree....the skimmer in the HOB filter is a pretty cool idea.....a HOB sump Be curious to see how everything works once it is up and running.
