I only wished mine looked that good...WOW. Most of these will go into the African tank and I was told that they are pretty much indestructible. We'll see how they hold up in that tank.

I end up giving a bucket of plants away about every 4 - 6 weeks. I did some strange things when I set this tank up, like using sand from my stream and mixing in a couple of soil media with worm castings from my worm farm. I also used wood pieces I picked up in my stream. So a lot of risk involved but the rseult has been pretty good.

When the glass is clean, which is most of the time, visitors think it's a terrarium.

Just thought I'd post this. It's the only thread I follow. Hope you dont mind Goodwin9.
Today I noticed that my clownfish have layed eggs in my office 24 gallon nano tank. I took the pic with my cellphone. the eggs are silvery and between the two fish above the anenome. From the way they look, I think they've been there for a few days, as the eyes are visible in the eggs. I'm thinking I may try to raise the fry, but I dont know if I'll have time to set up a rearing tank before they hatch.

Marc, how long is the incubation period? My clowns laid eggs on November 29 (I made a video) and I noticed today they are gone! :( That's only 11 days!

If you can see the eyes, they will hatch in the next 48 hours.

It looks to me like I can see the eyes. I'm gonna set up a tank tomorrow. Hopefully, I wont be too late. Unfortunately this is the busy season for drilling, filling and yanking, so my spare time is minimal right now. Wish me luck.

Mine have always seemed to hatch during the night. There one day, gone the next.....

Well, unfortunately they hatched last night. I brought in my rearing tank early to work today, and the eggs were gone. Darn. Well I'll be ready next time. Anyone know off hand how often they lay eggs?

Mine seem to lay eggs every 2 to 3 weeks.

Oh good. I bet mine have layed before, and I just didn't notice. I dont pay much attention to my office tank. I'll be on the lookout now.

They lay them every two weeks, with one week for maturation. So you should see them laying eggs again in 7 days.

I don't know if this is a requirement, but mine laid eggs starting around 4:15 pm each time. An hour earlier, they bite the anemone tentacles to get it out of the way, and start mouthing the rocks even earlier to get them prepared for the next clutch of eggs.
