I don't really think this will be a continuing problem, Chuck.
The housing seemed in pretty good shape, so I ordered a replacement impeller plus another spare, just incase. While I was at it, I ordered a replacement for the BL 70, since they are a different size from the 100's. A few more parts to add to my collection...

There is diffidently something about the frags coming out of your tank, the mushrooms are getting huge...The lights in the nano aren't on timers and there are days where I forget to turn them on. I thought I read where you couldn't grow cheato??? This one piece has grown a couple of inches and seems to be much thicker than the stuff I have in my refugiums. It must be another "super strain" coming from you tank....

Since I seem to have a problem filling tanks & sumps and forgetting to turn off the water, I found these little alarms that will hopefully prevent a major disaster.

Chuck, it seems that the video feed for your 600 gallon reef isn't working. Just in case you didn't know. Also, where did you buy them fancy water alarms?

Hey Chuck, can you give us a rundown on how that sensor is built? What the probes are made of, etc?
There are little metal contacts in each leg of the unit. I'm not sure what they are made of.

Interesting. I wonder what the contacts are made of. I guess we'll know as soon as you get SW on them. I am not sure the battery idea is good for me. I would probably forget to replace them, but I do like the portability.

So why didn't you get one that would communicate with your controller? That seems to be an integral part of controlling water damage by shutting down equipment and notifying you of the alarm.

A good place to use the old P-Touch... At $5.99, I bought everyone they had in stock. The batteries were $3., so for less than $10., I have got one for every tank and a couple for strategic locations in the basement.

11 weeks after the warranty expired, the CO2 regulator on the tank has stuck in the open position and has to be replaced. Melev suggested a regulator from aquariumplants.com that comes with a 3 year warranty. Checked them out only to find out they are manufactured just a few miles from my home. Stopped down and picked one up. Project for tomorrow is to get it filled with the mystery juice and up and running.

Of course while I was there, I picked up a couple of bags of plants for a couple of the fresh water tanks.
