A few of the new ones mixed with the reds that I got last week. Much larger, but the reds sure jump out at you...
What's wrong with your tank? I put a green one in my little nano cube with all of Sam's "mega growing" mushrooms and it opened up nice and stood out in the cround...Originally posted by tangdiver
No place yet....just always trying to find a nice place to get some.
I'm not completely sure if I understand your statement. Will the mushrooms add to the bio load, or help reduce it?Originally posted by jnarowe
Chuck, those are fantastic. You got the sweet source on those for sure. And Marc's right, be careful what you wish for!
The fact is, with your bio-load, collecting this type of coral is much more suited to your situation than SPS.

Grant...Can you tell from the pictures whether or not if the reds are actually recordeas? Got an opinion?

No wonder they seem to do very well in my tanks...Should be interesting to see them flourish in the tanks.Originally posted by melev
Mushrooms like dirty water, while SPS like pristine water.
Is it just ricordeas, or all mushrooms that you have had trouble with? If I understand things right, ricordeas don't require nearly the amount of light other corals do. Too much light in your tank for them?Originally posted by jnarowe
And I can't keep them alive. It was really vexing to me back when I tried several colonies in different areas of my tank only to see them melt and disappear. They are beautiful Chuck.
