My new 600 gallon reef

I've been battling flatworms for a couple years now. I even removed all my fish and went without feeding the tank for 12 weeks. Flatworms continued to thrive the entire time.
If your nudis can get the population down, you might be able to dose with flatworm exit and finish them off.

Don't forget guys, that Melafix is an incredible (and natural) weapon agains FW. It will knock them out good but leave your corals fairly unaffected. Best method is to remove rocks with FW and dunk them so the die-off doesn't screw the system up.

Question for you.. Where did you get your Nudibranch's? I'm starting to see some flatworms popping up here and there. I'd like to get a handle on them early.

Where did you get all of those anemones, Chuck?

And how are you feeling lately?
I got a deal on a bunch of them, so I put a couple in the big tank and a couple of the other tanks and threw 10 of them in the specimen tank to see what happens. After wandering around the sides of the tank, most of them have settled in on the rocks in the center of the tank.

Just when I was getting my weight back and gaining strength, they tell me that I need to have 15 more daily radiation treatments starting the middle of next week. Not looking forward to going through that again, but I guess that is better than the alternative of going through chemotherapy....

Is that new display Chuck?
The picture was taken in the specimen tank. I'll have to get a picture of the one in the 600, more than a foot across..the clowns are having a hay day in that one.

I got the first two from Bluezooaquatics.com, and then I got three more from Liveaquaria.com Lately, I have only seen two of them in the frag tank, so I am not sure if the others are hiding under things or have passed on??

Awesome I'm going to order two of em. Thanks!
Make sure that you can keep them away from the over flows. Mine seems to spend a lot of time on the sides of the tanks and they don't appear to have the sticking power of a snail...

I thought that I would post this picture for Jeremy (Jayfish26), who stopped by yesterday to help with the tank. Went to show him how huge this anemone was only to find that it had closed up and pulled back into the rocks to where it was barely visible. It still wasn't out when I fed the tank hours later, but this morning, it was out in it's original position. Most of the lights were still off when I took this picture so it had not expanded to it's huge size...about 12" across.

wow that thing is huge I can't believe that it was able to pull back into that rock like it did when i was over chuck! I mean we could barely see it at all! what are you feeding it some of your 9 inch tangs?? lol Is it bigger then your green carpet when its fully out??

After seeing the actinic shot about 15 pages back, I have to ask for another one since they have grown in... hope the treatments are going well, Chuck.
