My new Aquascape

Crepusculum

So today Scott and Matt came over to help me fix a few issues with my tanks and to also aquascape them to look a little bit more grand. I'll start off with what the tanks looked like before they arrived, these were taken in the morning.

Starting with my cube

...and then my wife's tank.

And here we are starting to take everything apart...

It is finished now, but I need to wait for everything to settle before taking some new shots on it. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon all will be well.

Isn't is scary tearing down the tank like that? The only side effect that I have noticed on mine so far is loss of coraline algae as well as higher nitrates. I'm starting back up on weekly water changes to try to fix it. Scott is the man!

Dan,

Post some more pics of the finished product. I want to see what the tank looks like when the water is clear and the fish are out.

Ok here are the two tanks. I don't have a tripod so the pictures didn't come out that great, but at least you can get the idea.

It looks much more professional now. On my wife's tank the water was so cloudy that Scott did a 'blind' aquascape.

hehehehe!!!! Thanks for showing me Vieng's tank. That one center rock looks totally awesome suspended like that. I can't believe how nice that came out considering that I could not see a damn thing!

     :D
