So, I'm really excited about this one. I ordered an Advanced Acrylic 54 x 40 x 22 tank, peninsula story with external overflow. The tank will be made out of 3/4 acrylic, with dual 1" returns and 3 1.5" drains. ETA on the tank is another 5-7 weeks. I told him to take closer to 7 weeks since we are doing some minor renovations.

Equipment that will be reused:
48 x 22 x 18, 3 chamber sump
Aquamaxx Cones-co2 skimmer
Fluval sp4
2 vortech mp40 qd
1 vortech mp40wes non-QD
1 full apex with an extra EB8
Vertex Illumina 360, will also add 2 t5s on either side of the fixture to help with shadowing

Plan: mainly softies, zoas, acans, hammers, and anemones. Also looking to add beginner sps

Currently everything is in a 48 x 30 x 30 AA tank

Current Livestock :
1 yellow tang
1 naso tang
1 yellow tang
2 lyre tail anthias
1 potters wrasse
1 long nose hawk

Initial rockwork, will give the rocks an acid bath.

Also started the top frame, which is 2 x 6. I'll work on the rest tomorrow.

Update:

Tank has been running for about a week now. It took me about 6 hours to drain and remove the old 48 x 30 x 30 and stand, bring in the new stand and tank by myself. I estimate the total amount of rock to be around 200lbs between the tank and sump. The stand still needs a skin, then I'll work on the canopy. Bad news is that my wife wants me to change the orientation of the tank; if I end up doing so, I'm going to swap out the stand for a steel one. But I'm hoping I won't have to; I really like the orientation of the tank right now.

Stocking plans:
Add a few more wrasses
focus mainly on BTAs.
I'll also add various frags as I see fit, mainly in the cheaper realm and keep with whatever gives me the most success. With my schedule, I doubt I can maintain a beautiful SPS system like others here. I have also added a couple small glass containers full of sand throughout for the wrasses, since the tank is barebottom.
