It is opening and is a bit cramped when opened. I am afraid to pull him out and drop him in direct MH lighting.

Marine Snow will definitely not keep that coral alive for very long. I would read the sticky at the top of this forum for advice on what to give this guy. I don't have one, and am not one of those MS bashers but it's not designed for sustaining nps corals. Having looked at acquiring one in the past, I know they're one of those filter feeders that can ingest somewhat larger particles. I would pick up some Cyclopeeze, rotifers and baby brine shrimp, to start. I believe your coral will quickly whither away on its current diet

Mine is under my led... since we are on the topic of Nps food, I would recommend you go for larger particle size.. they are able to catch large particle food.. I dunno if they would live of large particle food as my system is mixed Nps, so my food is very wide ranged and also it is doses 24/7 .
