My new clam has shrimp!

2 of them to be exact!!! I remember reading or hearing somewhere this was a good thing but I cant for the life of me find ANY info on them... can someone please help me with some links or photo's or knowledge :)

theres not much info out there about them, but try googling Anchistus mirabilis, Anchistus miersi, Conchodytes tridacnae, Parachistus biguiculatus.
 
Thanks for the pic, mine dont have spots they have stripes down their back kinda like a skunk cleaner, but they look exactly like those other than that.

I googled the names & talk about no info :( how disapointing. Anyone have any experience or stories about these little shrimp they would not mind sharing?

its not uncommon for wild clams to have them in fact its quite common. as for as cultured clams and clams for sale it is pretty uncommon.
 
Ok, I know this pic is gonna be really hard to see it, but if you squint & turn your head sideways while holding your breath you might be able to make out the shrimp right in the middle of this pic

& my favorite clam... just so there is a decent pic on here too, has nothing to do with the shrimp :p
