The only way to tell if it is truely a crocea is to see the shell. Maximas and crocea have many things in common, including color. Post a picture of its shell. Croceas have a non-uniform shell that is more round and maximas have more "scutes" all the way down the shell, but the scutes are smaller and closer together than a squamosa. But color can tell the differance between most maximas and squamosas
