My new Diver's Den red Haddoni

the anemone is looking pretty nice!

Thanks.

He'd probably appreciate the opportunity to be in charge. :p

He he. I know the feeling, I am divorced. ;)

i have a 29 gallon tank. right now i have 130 watts of pc. i just wanted to know what i have to do to the tank in order to keep one of these beauty..:bounce2:

juniorjose, carpets get big. A 29G will be too small for a carpet anemone, and you definitely don't have strong enough lighting for one. If you really have your heart set on an anemone, you could try a cloned BTA, which some people have kept successfully in small tanks. You'll have to make sure your tank is ready (water parameters, lighting, tankmates, etc) and practice careful maintenance. Good luck!

Elvis pretty much nailed it. Even if you had the proper lighting, the shape of a 29 isn't the best for a Haddoni --- not much room front to back.

very nice anemone man wish i have the money for one

Tax return, NCAA and Fantasy Football. ;)

ya boy looks good!

Will have to look at your thread tomorrow.

No offense, not going to kiss your *** but tell it to you straight, your tank looks like crap for that Red haddoni, looks like a hot girl in a 91 civic.

One FTS of it and you say that? Then let us see yours, sure it is the best in the world.

This is what you're going to post as your first contribution to the forums? Nice.

^^LOL, my thoughts exactly, gee, where do I find the welcome banner for this knuclehead?!

The darn UA is preventing me from saying a lot more. :)

Why thank you, I've been lurking for sometime, but excuses me for not kissing some asses on first post.

Perhaps you should go back to lurking. You are free to voice your opinion, however you should learn how to voice it properly if you want to stick around. I really don't care all that much, but I am sure that others will.

The egg crate/ window screening is used to reduce the light getting to the anemone, and will be removed over time to acclimate the anemone to the lights in Todd's system.

It is basically there to keep the anemone from bleaching from too much light, and give it time to settle in to Todd's tank.

Thanks alot thats so cool
learned something new today the egg crate is with netting or just the egg crate itself? thanks for ur replies:D

The egg create is just used to support the window screening.

This is from my 33 cube, but you can see it a lot better.

Todd's Anemone Care

Todd's Anemone Care

I frequently read the posts on here for the past year and anytime I needed advice I always hoped I would get a reply from either Todd or Davocean and to read this forum and someone giving Todd advice I almost laughed out loud at work.

Carpet looks great Todd please keep posting pics so I can later convice my old lady to let me get one.

I helped him find his way,

Thanks Brain.

Wow, that is really nice to read -- thank you.

Will do my best to make them good pics.

Beautiful! Congrats Todd!!

Thanks. Still want a purple one like yours. (( Believe that you have one ))

Got some new pictures last night, looking pretty good.

Though one thing I did notice is that my MJ SureFlow is boarder line too much flow for it -- even when using an MJ400, instead of an MJ900 which I had been using. Going to have to look into a Vortec, since it seems like I would have better control over the amount of flow.

A top down, which was a bit difficult with the lights on -- has to use my hand to block the MH -- darn that got hot. :)
