My new home tank install!!!

 84 pounds of media
That's quite the mini reactor you've got there

Very nice toys. Are you still planning to switch the G3 for a Deltec skimmer?

I'm still planning on the Deltec skimmer upgrade, either the apf600 or the ap701, I just have to wait a little longer now. The ASM is working pretty good for now though.

Thanks Ron, I have been dreaming of this for a long time. When are you going to put some pics of your new dream system?

Your tank looks great Jim. Looks like you have some nice equipment on there. That reactor is huge!

I'll be getting my light soon from that Lovely place if they have any left that is, LOL. Right now I'm claiming the 150 at work as my tank tank. I have to get a killer skimmer for the 210 but I'm still not sure what direction to go in on that. It's going to be a while, if all goes well by next summer maybe it could have water in it. I'm not pouring an ounce in until I have everything ready to make it work from day one. Till then I'll enjoy the 150, Rogers tank and your pics :D

Thought you might like it matt! Too bad a bigger reactor doesn't make bigger corals.....but it sure looks cool:D But it does make for a lazy reefkeeper, I won't have to add media for months!

Made another improvement tonight, a much easier way for water changes. I put a tee in the return pipe from my pump then valved it past the tee closest to the tank and another valve on the side of the tee then ran pipe about 20ish feet over to the floor drain. all I have to do is close the valve closest to the tank and open the side valve diverting the water from the tank to the drain until I hit the 100 gallon mark on my sump, then refill. It should knock my water change time down to about 20 minutes or so. I'll post some pics soon.

Man, not only is Tunze awesome, its also addictive........I finally bit the bullet and put in a wave box, its kinda cool to sit in your living room and be sea sick:D Oh yea and the corals love it too.

Update pics...

Looking great man, I can't wait to start on my new tank, at least I have the light now LOL.

It'll be here before you know it, it just sucks to wait sometimes though, but you have great reasoning for the wait!
If you look close you can see the little round frag plugs from the monti's I got from you, they are colored up awesome, can't wait til they grow up.

Those things should grow like weeds in that system give them about a month then you will see true color. Yeh I'm taking my time on this build it will be done right this time. Until that day comes, I can always enjoy other peoples tanks.

A few new pics of my home tank.

An achilles tang found his way in there too and is doing well so far for a month or so now.

Beautiful Jim. It's hard to see where new corals would go but I'm sure you'll squeeze them in.
