My new LTA split

Has anyone ever had an M. Doreensis split. It's been in the tank since Monday night. It moved around alittle bit, but has stayed in one place the last couple nights. It has been eating well, a couple pieces of raw shrimp each night. Last night when I fed it I noticed about 3/4 of the way down the base it was pinched, but it was expanded and it ate so I didnt worry. This morning I wake up and look and it had moved, and there were two small pieces of the base about the size of a grape. It doesnt sound good. The two pieces are plump and healthy looking. The anemone still has about 3/4 of its base, but is only partially expanded. I've turned the lights on, and hopefully it will recover. Could this have happened as a result of stress, or just a change in conditions. I dont know if the LFS had been feeding it. It was under low PC lighting at the LFS, but its color looked good. I did a slow drip acclimation so that should be okay.

Anemone isnt looking so good, what would cause it to rupture its own foot, and actually expell two pieces of it. I drip acclimated it until the SG was perfect match (about 1 1/2 hours). It was feeding okay ( first night just a taste of frozen mysis which it rejected, 2nd 3rd and 4th nights a couple small pieces of raw shrimp each night which it readily ate.

Recently I changed my PC bulbs because they were almost a year old.
Upon doing this both my LTA and Sebae became stressed.
My sebae which sits higher, looked like it was going to split.
When sebaes tentacles shriveled in one area I got worried and in an act of desperation I spot fed him a piece of shrimp for strength
Next day, both were better, not real sure why, no splitting
One observation; w/ 10,000k on only, both nems start to close very quickly.
W/ ultra-actinic on only, both open fully
W/ both on, both nems open
I wonder if new lighting has your nem stressed?

Unfortunately I dont believe the split was a good thing. After a day and a half the grape size pieces didnt look good so I pulled them from the display. The cap and whats left of the base doesnt look very good either so for now I'm just waiting to see what happens.

As you know, I have done lots of research on LTA's and there is no known documentation of one splitting in captivity. Anybody correct me if I'm wrong.

All my searching and reading has indicated that splitting of an LTA is not good thing, I just hope mine can make it through, but so far it doesnt look good. Definately not reproduction, aside from that I have no idea what may have caused this. Everything was good for at least a few days.
