My new red hornet!!!!

True

buyer beware about some of these high dollar single polyps. Just as said above, most come direct from the ocean and don't have as high of a survival rate as many others..

Most of us learn that the hard way! The really cool ones are SO tempting!

Anyway, IT IS TRUE!

OK OK how much would you pay for a frag of a single polyp of RH??. And if you already own one or several and dont mind sharing what you paid for it please share. Thanks this should be interesting.

i got purple hornet and the contrast against the purple coralline crusted rock isn't all too impressive in my opinion.
but the red hornet may pop out better against purple...i would think?
man...now gotta wait for the supply of these to increase and time.

nice, but not worth the $ imo, especially seeing the store paid probably $25 for 100 plus polyps, and the hornet line are known to melt away and dont do good after fragging 6 months all these will be down in price just like every other hot coral every 6 months, look how much chalices dropped

um Cali you mean you "can" get single of PH for 40.00??

Yes, you can. I've sold them to several members, my last 4-polyp frag sold for under $100. And I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but expanding your vocabulary beyond the word "retarded" would be most appreciated.

I've got some very cool yellow zoanthids with a purple alternating skirt. Maybe they're the next craze! :lmao:

those are the rules under this section of the forums wich are located at the top of this section.

that is a nice looking polyp but for somebody to pay that much for a single polyp is just plain stupid. most of these polyps are coming straight from the ocean and usualy do not have a high survival rate. this is all just my personal opinion btw...

+1 "hornets" are the most overpriced, overhyped, and overrated corals period.

ridiculous. they are tiny and barely visible unless you have hundreds of them... and really that takes ages!!!

i like the red hornets no doubt... but $250 for a single zoa polyp is absolutely absurd.

Tiny? My friend has a 3 polyp frag and they're normal sized polyps, plus they do stand out amongst the other zoas and palys that are surrounding them. Obviously no zoa is worth paying around $150-200 for but they're one of the nicest zoas you'll find.

Wow. That is very expensive but very beautiful. If it spreads out and multiplies like crazy you'll be in luck. $$$
