My New Tank is here!!!

I wasn't until today. I think something is wrong with the regulator. No CO2 is entering the reactor, so I'm off to start trouble shooting that before I hit the sack tonight.

Well hope that you figure it out. It's just one thing after another with this hobby, huh? :) That must be what makes it so great...

Try plugging your regulator straight into a plug. If it lets co2 out its ok and just bad code in your ac3. I needed to add a line of code to actually turn the unit on not just off.
Hope that helps? Erik

It's a bad solenoid. I took the solenoid off and it sticks, and will not open or close freely. Initially I was stuck in the "open" position... now it seems the solenoid jammed in the "closed" position.

So for now I'm going to put the solenoid back in, and physically move it to the "open" position before re-installing it. Hopefully that will hold open until I can get a replacement in my hands.

Also, installed my needle valve on the Ca Reactor feed line... which makes it much easier to balance the flow now.

I actually am considering selling this reactor as I may have an opportunity to pick up a used Schuran Jetstream Pico Ca Reactor within the next few weeks.

That would be really nice. I think that I'm going to stay away from this reactor.. even though this problem that you're having isn't really reactor related... I wish I could find someone who has the Aqua C RX-1

I know a guy who uses one... I'll talk to him tomorrow, and see if he wouldn't mind fielding some questions.

No problem. They're doing well and hanging out in my 20 long QT tank with a pair of baby bangaii cardinals that are slated to go in my g/f's tank. I am trying to figure out what I want to do with them though. I may start up an anemone tank... or I could add them to the display without a nem. There is definitely NO room for a nem of any kind in my display.

No problem. I am in no hurry. I'm fine with using Bionic.. I get great results with it... just a little tedious after awhile.

Would that top melt if you forgot to take it off in the morning? Possible fire hazard? Just wondering I no I've forgotten things with the tank when in a rush a few times, I'd hate to see a disaster hit you and your threads.

Edit: Removed the Nightmare Palythoa pic... After looking at the tank again, it does them no justice.

Beats me... I'd have to ask Keith the specs on the material. It's not too hot above the tank since the pendant is open to the air. Also, the light doesn't come on until almost 4pm, so I have plenty of time to remember.

How do you like the fiji pink now that you've had it for a while? Do the smaller .5 grains stay settled? I have biocube that needs some substrate.
