My new tank!

So, not many people know of this tank, but it is basically Mr. Aquas 40B (36x18x18). It is a very nice tank, and this is the first Mr. Aqua tank that I have owned, and the build quality is top notch!

This isn't much of a build thread, as the build is finished and the tank swap is complete (Upgraded from a 29G biocube).

One of the great enjoyments about reefing for me is the DIY side of it. I drilled my own tank, built my own sump, built my own stand etc.)

Here is a quick list of the tank specs:
Sicce Syncra Silent 3.0 Return Pump
40B sump
ASM G2 Skimmer W/ sedra 3500
Kent Marine gravity feed ATO float (works awesome!)
Gla$$-Holes 700GPH Overflow Box
Reef Save Dry rock with a few select pieces of the live rock from my 29G biocube in the DT, the rest went into the fuge
Reef Keeper Lite
Maxspect Razor 160W 27.5 Inch light
Vortec MP-10

Here are pictures of the progress that I made over the past couple of months:

Very sweet build!! I currently have the 25gal cube and love it by Mr.Aqua. Glad to see someone still running ASM skimmers ๐Ÿ˜‰ I still have mine

Also what did you use to drill that small tank as a ATO?

Thanks guys. For the small tank, I used two 5.5 gallon aqueon aquariums lol jk... but that was the only casualty. They are extremely thin glass and I wasn't expecting the hole to drill so quickly, drill popped through and before I know it the tank was cracked.

I bought a 5/8 glass/tile hole saw from lowes. In fact I'll likely never use the bit again, if someone needs to use it just let me know.

It is an ATO resivoir. If I was to do it all over again I would consider a smaller sump... I wanted a large refugium and wanted to use a skimmer that I already had and because of those two factors was forced to go with a larger sump. It made the stand bigger with little storage room on the inside, however it all worked out and everything is looking great on day 2 of the swap.

Thanks! Only two days after the swap but so far so good. Everything opened immediately and is looking great, minus my mushrooms which haven't opened for a few weeks...

Just wanted to update the thread with some new pics.

I finally moved my RBTA over and it is doing great!

Zoa frag rock - Will look great as it grows out.

And lastly, a FTS:

Really dig your setup. The Razer's heatsink design goes well with the minimalist "clean" look you're doing. And like Stolireef said - the carpentry looks great!

Just wanted to post a few pics with some updates.

I transferred my lifestock from a 29G Biocube, and I wanted to go more towards SPS, so I have traded away a few of the LPS to clear room. I also changed the scape up some.

Things seems to slowly be coming around, SPS seems to take a few weeks to color back up and really look good, not sure if it is my lighting, not acclimating them enough, or just an SPS thing.

Pics are still crappy as they are taken with a Note 3, and I just fed so my cleaner shrimp ran all over everything, so they may not look as good as an hour before the pictures, but oh well lol.
