my new true percs!

just got them from liveaquaria and they are amazing. such beautiful color. is it normal for them to start swimming together as soon as introduce into your tank? the bigger one is already displaying dominance by nipping the little one every once in a while. also, the little one starts shaking every once in a while almost looking like a siezure. i thought this meant they where mating but they are both juveniles who where introduced 30 minutes ago. i put a picture of a anemone with a clownfish on my tank wall and hopefully they will go to it. pictures soon!

They are fighting over dominance not mating. Since they are both juvenile they should become a pair by the time they are two years old or so. Good luck! :)
Also, how well did liveaquaria send them? How long until they got to you? Any diseases? Are they healthy? Post some pictures. I just want to know for future references because I may order some stuff from liveaquaria later.

liveaquaria is the best website. they have 72hour insulated containers and it takes 24 hours to ship. you have a 14day warranty on the fish. the colors where exactly like the picture. the fish have nothing wrong with them. they are padded with styrafome and other types of shock absorbers. i had a nice coral die once and all i did was call them and they shipped me a new one for free( didnt have to pay for shipping either) that was twice as big! i dont have my camera atm so i cant take pictures. i would trust this website 100%

theyll just send you a new one.

No they won't. They'll just issue a credit.

I had an issue w/a product and they are actually sending me a new one. It was a light bulb. Little different b/c it's not alive, but they are just sending out a new one.

Right, physical goods is a different story.

yea. Never had any trouble w/livestock from them, but I've only purchased 3 living items that came all at once. I've had very good experience with them though.

Glad to hear your new percs are getting along and healthy.

I also just received my true perc from DFS yesterday (to join my other lonely perc) and he appears to be healthy. I did treat him immediately for brook because the last order I got from DFS my perc had brook and I actually lost the entire order...Called up DFS and explained the situation and they refunded me and apologized for the troubles. That was the only problem I've ever experienced with DFS and they were awesome. It was too bad I lost all the fish in that order though. Just took too long (3 days) to get the medicine to treat them. LESSON LEARNED! I now have an entire medicine cabinet (so to speak) for any future arrivals/problems.

Keep us updated on your percs and If I'll let you know how mine is doing...Maybe post some pics when I get him out of his "personal" QT tank...

couple more questions. why are they vibrating every once in a while? and i thought one would become dominant but they are both fighting each other even though one is bigger.

Google "free image host", and choose what you want. I use snapfish, personally, because it came on my HP Mini netbook.

Now go to a place that hosts pictures.

It will say "Browse". Hit that button, find your picture and hit upload. It will spit out a link. Copy that link, come back to the forums, start a new reply, hit the IMG button next to the "@" symbol and "#" symbol. Paste link into pop-up and, ta-da! Pictures. :)
