If they are defiantly outside of the eye, I'd hold the fish with a wet cloth and remove them with a tweezers. Then dab with a little mercurochrome. (Get a helper who isn't going to get the vapors when the fish squirms.) I've done this sort of minor surgery many times. If they are worms, Prazi-Pro will probably work; but there are many weird parasites, like all the species of isopods, and its hard to know for sure. Because many parasites can enter the eye socket, I'd do the surgery ASAP. It isn't a big deal; anyone who can take a splinter out of a kid's foot can do this.
