eggs are on tile:
ok my true perculas have spawned for the 6th time and finally on a tile..

they should be ready in about 3 days.

I have my holding tank ready & my rotifers are about half ready seems I cant keep a bunch for some reason....also my brine shrimp hatchery is doing well & its ready.

Im planning on placing a large airstone under the tile the night of hatching..

what am I missing? Ill post a few pictures later of the setup

Ok I moved the eggs to there holding tank, last night 10 out of 25 lived....Kinda funny only 25 hatched out of a couple hundred?

I left the lights off all night and put about 40 rotifers In there to eat!

This morning lights on and 10 out of about 25 were alive and swimming!

ok a few pics...overlook the mess I got home late from work:

I bought some amquel plus do I add it to the larvae tank & the roti tank???and how much? the bottle says 5ml per 5 gallons, does this sound right?

ok I cleaned out some of the dead this morning & still have about 100 or so baby clowns I pulled as many rotis as I could and added to the baby clown tank...I'll keep everyone posted!

Do the larvae have full silver bellies? I didn't think it would be easy to see, but shockingly it was ;) . It is a good indicator that they are well fed on your rotifers.

ok day 2:

woke with no dead this morning & all were swimming all over the tank...still well over 100 babies...I have been adding baby nauplii fresly hatched and seems they are eating them & I have been adding several rotifers 2 times a day...But I still haven't done a water change. at what day should I do a 20%? Oh and I have added a few drops of amquel plus to my rotifers & baby clown tank.

Day 2 percula larvae I think should be too small to eat brine nauplii. I would halt that and wait until day 4-5. Perhaps you are noticing them eating rotifers and not the brine?

i would clean that water .. maybe use a siphon to clean the bottom.

pic is alot worse than the tank...lol but I'll clean it!

can you believe she spawned again? my baby clowns are only 2 days old???? wow.does anyone know were I can get some acrilic 3 or 5 gallon tanks?? prefer drilled for overflow?

Awesome Joe. Keep us posted. You should be able to start feeding your brine soon if not now. Where did you get your cone? Also your phyto and rotifers are too close. If you get any rotifers in your phyto it will be gone. 1 drop could do it. Keep the pics coming!

DAT 7:

Thanks I redone all my phyto & rotifers cleaned up the mess....Now I have a 30" light mounted on the wall on the 2nd and 3rd shelves the phyto on the third and the rotifers on shelf 2...also I set up a second larvae home for the new babies that are coming in a few days.... what do you mean by cone?

also I have about 100 left had about 7-8 pass this weekend?(is this normal)

I have been doing about 10% wc per day adding a little bit of phyto

I had losses every day with my ocellaris until I hit day 7 and I haven't lost one since. It seems pretty natural to me, that the weak ones pass before they even get to metamorphosis. Also, factor in that we are breeding newbies so that might be a partial factor also.
