cyclop-eze are excellent for color.

I don't think it matters, frozen or dry. Both should work to bring out better color.

Ive been feeding Cyclop-eze and they seem to really like it its really close to a powder form? and the bigger guys 1st batch are big enough now to eat brine shrimp(frozen)
