My Photo Thread...

All of my photos are taken with a Nikon D40. I don't currently have a macro lens on the camera, however my lens is AF-S 18-55 (stock kit lens). I am hoping to get a nice micro/macro lens in the near future, but for now .. I am able to get some pretty close up photos.

I am not a photo-guru and I am in the process of learning a lot of things about photo taking. I have been reading a little bit about snapping photos of the corals in the tank. I have a program for my Mac called Sofortbild. It's nice because it allows me to connect my camera to a USB port and control my camera for the most part from my computer, rather than the camera. All of my photos have been taken without a tripod as well.

I have been having a hard time sleeping for whatever reason. So, while the lights were off on the tank I thought I would try to grab some photos. For the light source, I have a small camping light that I use to look in the tank that changes various colors. So, I put the light on the coral and snapped some photos! Here are the results.
