Temp Insulation around SUMP (Silence is Deafening)

I used some Scrap Insulation (to Wrap Sump in STAND) to Keep Dust out of Sump since I have to work in the Final Food Damage Area.

After Weeks of the Sump running right next to my desk, things are so quiet is weird.

Maybe I'll keep the insulation there since I did feel mist and Every once in a while I can replace it.

Now I tackle the Last Bit of Drywall, and Flooring.

I'd grab a quarter and scratch the overflow end...

Ahhh. I get it. That side is TEMPERED GLASS.

Hmm. I guess I should test it eh?

I just bought a multi-Tool since my hands are blistered from the X-acto Knife Drywall Cutting, and plenty of fine work to do on the Tank Framing, and flooring too.

That should test the Glass Better :(

Should have got one earlier. I've been going through a ton bandages and Polysporin.

Holy Smokes (the Overflow Bulk Heads)

When Miracle Delivered the tank they forgot the BulkHeads, and they came today.

I let Miracle design the Overflow, but didn't expect them this big.

2" hole. Wow, there won't be any plugging problems that's for sure.

I'll have to figure out how to make the drain etc.
Maybe Reducers.
No idea.

Rakie will help me. He's a pro.

Lost a Heater (Burnt Out) After move

Bad Luck/Good Luck.

Well I lost a Heater during the Sump Move.

Doesn't look cracked, but Luckily I was watching sump and saw bright flashes of light.

Quickly pulled the plug and removed it.

It was a backup heater, not on Apex like the main heater.

Brand is Aquarium Systems (Visi-Therm)

Package was really beaten up.
You can see the bent metal tips.
Hope they work. I think so.

I hate Restoration work.....So look forward to the creative side of this project.

I voted for you W! Good luck [emoji106]
Thanks Tenurepro.

I don't expect to win first place since competition is tough.

But you can vote for more than one tank. (#10 is my tank)
I even voted for another Tank that I like.

Coming in Top 10 would be an honour.

Here is the URL in case someone wants to give me a bump before the deadline Saturday, February 10th at 11:59 pm EST

Funny... Just noticed your tank is in the thread on the other forum, came here to say that and poof, it's the topic of the hour!

Anywho. Honestly, your tank can definitely hang with those other tanks. Don't be too modest :D

FINALLY!! (NEW Tank can be brought in) Total REC ROOM Wall RESTORATION Complete

25304009207_e26033202e_c.jpg

That corner was heck of a chore. Took me (8 passes of plaster, Sanding) and Coat of Paint. (Several Patches due to Flood damage removal)

I had to do better quality than other area's since it those walls near tank will get more attention.

NO WAY!!! Can't cannot be brought onto stand.

If I do, then I'll lose access to the Wall on the SUMP ROOM Side. (TOP)
Tank is 24" deep so It will be a tough reach. Prone to damaging tank.

I have to frame the tank with a removable TOP panel (all fitted). [FRONT and RIGHT Side]

Then Tank can go it. And Panels put on.

That's a good work around, if you didn't add that last part we'd have forced you to break down the wall. Priorities and such.

SUMP Room Prepared for Tank (Cut Outs)

Rakie, Not funny. No more demolition work :( Hate it :(

Now the TANK can be brought in.

I want to run Possible PLUMBING and/or WIRING over the Front Side of Tank (TO HIDE THINGS [In-Wall, Above Tank] )

If Tank was in, these cuts would be near impossible. Even Hard without it.

Side CUTOUT in Drwall is 23" while TANK is 22" so it can SLIDE IN.

28398844579_5c6c35f3d8.jpg

((( I NEED THE TANK in place now since I came up with a BETTER FRAMING IDEA )))

I'll show it later, but the original Plan to Have Tank Flush with Drywall will happen.
(The revelation is the TANK Bottom TRIM is 1", while the Framing is 1/2") ** PERFECT ** You'll see soon.

I just need to find 3 helpers to carry the tank into Basement.

Another reason I realized the TANK MUST BE Put on Stand......

-> I need to Level Stand with Tank on it (using Shimmy's with access to all 4 sides of Stand)
-> Have Tank sit on Compression Foam till it Settles (Level)
-> Once Tank is Settled (few hours FULL OF FULL WEIGHT WATER)
-----> Then I can Frame the Bottom
-----> Then the TOP to cover the Front Side EDGE Glass

I'll take pictures of the steps.

Final Sump Room SIDE (Improvement) Hose/Wire Grommet boards

I couldn't leave SHARP Steel Stud for Wire and Water Hoses.

Was thinking inserting 2x4 Wood Pieces, but too thick.

26322432208_aab67168d8_o.jpg

So I used Leftover Scraps of the DRI CORE Panelling.

Much safer :)
