My Reefing journal...

I started Randy's 2 part two weeks ago. With the old method I was at 430 calcium and 10.2 for ALK. When ever I tried to get my calcium levels up I would go into a zone 1 problem.

Just tested and the new results are great. Cal-480 and Alk-9.0 Dkh. I've been after these numbers for a while...

Good work, Antonio!

I swapped out TLF reactor for a Vertex UF-15 reactor and I must say I do like the tumble a lot better, especially since I added more Bio-Pellets and the valves are some what closed and still the tumble is great...
Thanks Harry for the barb fitting and the hose.

Need to take some pics... Need to let my calcium down it's just way to high. And the skimmer you lent me did its job. My new skimmer pump got in yesterday so I got my skimmer working again... Yours is clean and I should be dropping it off today... Thanks once again Buddy.

I have to say that I'm totally happy with my Bubble Blaster 3000 pump. The pump came in yesterday and it was a quick install, it's a lot more quite than the stock pump and it went straight to work... Just got home and I see a good amount of skimmate in the collection cup.
This story is like one of those movies that start at the end, LoL. About 10 days ago my skimmer pump died on me. I went skimmer less for about 3 days before Harry loan me his Bubble Master skimmer. In this time my coral started looking a lil weird so I thought it was due to my skimming problem (going skimmerless for a few days). But I was saying to myself can 3 days of no skimming cause all this? I then did my weekly tests and found out that my calcium was way to high I mean I stopped when I went over 600. So I stopped dosing and I can only wait to see how all of this goes.

I know it's been a while since I last updated my journal but the last couple of months have been rough... From personal stuff to the dreaded AEFW (Acro Eating FlatWorm), I tell you guys I was almost ready to give up.
I haven't taken any full tank shots because honestly my tank is pretty empty, when I found out I had AEFW I first thought of treatment and did dip a couple of times. But then I started thinking of some reefers that have battled with these guys for weeks dipping their sps, stressing their sps and having some stuff die on them anyway because of the constant stress... Only to find out a month later that they still have them eating away at their acros. So I decided to just start throwing stuff away, at first it was killing me but then I just went throw away crazy.
I won't lie I did keep 4 pieces, and dipped them a couple of times before buying anything new, didn't find any but I'm still worried. My last dip included some new stuff I bought and I'm happy to say I didn't find any...

I re-did my aquascape and here are a couple of pics... Hope you guys like it...
