Well the two Interrupta from DD are now in my tank now. Here they are in their acclimation boxes:

The smaller one, whom I named Mochi:

The larger one, Hero:

And together:

As you can see they're pretty much the smallest fish in my tank. Even my Chromis are bigger than them. But the good news is none of the fish have shown any territorial behaviors towards them yet. I'm mainly concerned about my Black Tang as he like to show all my new fish that he's the boss, but so far so good. I'll most likely let them loose in a couple of days. More pics to come.

Wayne, looking great. I must say I'm very jealous and very happy to see they went to someone who will appreciate them. Please continue to keep us updated with how they do. I'm sure they got fantastic care during their long stay with KK.

Unfortunately I have bad news today. The smaller of the two Interrupta didn't make it through the night. I feel awful...terrible...and even stressed.

When I put them in their acclimation box, I saw that the the little one was breathing very heavily. It was also flapping its fins pretty rapidly/nervously. The larger one seemed fine and actually ate a little mysis shrimp. i turned the lights off in the tank early as I hoped the darkness would calm the little one down.

I woke up extra early this morning to check on it and the little one was dead on the bottom of the acclimation box. I guess the stress of the trip was too much for it. The only other thing I could think of was that they were packed with a relatively large heat pack sitting on top of the bags. This obviously concerned me since Interrupta are relatively cold water angels. It seemed like they used a 8.5x11 envelope filled with some heating material so that it was large enough to cover both bags. I didn't take the temp of the water because I wanted to float both bags.

Anyway, the good news is that the larger one seems pretty good right now. It's just patiently sitting in it's box. If it eats today, I'll most likely let it out this evening or tomorrow. But I still feel terrible about the little one...this sucks!!!

Did you get a deal by buying both? I have wondered if you can bargain with DD on the high ticket items.

Yeah they did cut me a deal for both. I don't know if they always do that but I guess since they were sitting there for awhile and the fact that I was willing to buy both, I paid $2000 for each.

how are you feeding them...?

Hero ate some Mysis already. I feed my tank frozen Prime Reef and Hakari Mysis once a day along with a little Spectrum pellets in an auto-feeder three times a day.

Will trade you my golden algae blenny for them

Oh man, that's super tempting and I'm being serious! But since I'm only down to one now...

Congrats Wayne. What happened to buying the hybrids?

Thanks, well I put my bid in, but I haven't heard back yet.

do you have a warranty?

Fortunately DD offers a 14 day live guarantee although it grief strickens me that I have to use it.

Everyone else, thank you for your kind words and I will keep you posted with Hero.

Sorry to hear maybe ask them to rather get you a nother small interrupta
I have a good feeling that the US will have sum more soon

Sorry for your loss. These fish will not tolerate temperature change at all. Also make sure your water temp is 74 max or you will lose the other one in a couple of weeks assuming he starts to eat soon.

I love these fish and have tried multipule time to keep them and the longest I was able to manage was about eighteen months . Very challenging opportunity you have. Best of luck to you.. Here's a few of my crew..
