My Regional LFS Map project

I am working on a google map that has all the midwest regional stores. Several clubs have already given information to me. Check it out.

Before I would agree to sticky this I would want a commitment that it would be updated every month to make sure the stores are still in business.

Then don't sticky it. It was just a project I was messing with. I cannot verify any information other than the info that was given to me by clubs and google searches.

I'm diggin' that map, Prater.

One thing though, when clicking on a store in the left column, the map will zoom in on the store and a bubble will pop up with a picture, "get directions", and a link for the store etc, etc. The problem is that when clicking any stores link, they all lead to SeaShells Aquarium & Supplies Address in MI.‎

hmm... Maybe its just me. Your clicking the link inside the bubble, right?

Yep, links in bubbles take you to seashells not the store selected.

Took me to seashells as well.

For example.

I clicked Aquatic Treasures Reef Store

It brought up a details bubble on the map.

I clicked the "directions" link within the bubble.

On the left side it brought up a "get directions box" with Aquatic Treasures in Point B

I entered my address in Point A

I then clicked the "get directions" button and it gave me directions to Aquatic Treasures.

I am not sure what you guys are trying, but it worked for me again.

Click on a store on the map, then click the link to the store at the top of the bubble. They all go to seashells

I cannot change that, there is no settings or anything on google maps. If you follow the directions I listed above, it works just fine.

I was just looking at a map I created a while back and it has the same problem. I think this is a bug in the custom maps and it is using whatever your original search was when you create the first push-pin marker.

I figured as much, because there is no options to adjust it. You just click on the business and add it to the map. Not much customization.

Android users, here is directions on how to use this on your Google GPS! Thanks to dja1980 for figuring it out for all of us!

1) Open Michael's link on your phone with the Browser (preferably using TapaTalk to open the thread). Make sure that "Use by default for this action" is Unchecked (you’ll change this later).

2) Use the menu button and select "Bookmarks", then select the "Add" option for Michael's map.

3) Rename the bookmark "Fish Stores" and select "OK".

4) Use the back button to close the Browser and return to the home screen.

5) Add a Shortcut to your home screen and select "Bookmark".

6) Select "Fish Stores" from the list.

7) Open your new bookmark from your homes screen and put a check in the "Use by default for this action" box, then choose the "Maps" option.

That's it! Now every time you open "Fish Stores" from your home screen, it will automatically open Michael's map with the Maps app... showing your GPS location and where all the fish stores are around you.

You can even take this one step further if you use the Maps "Latitude" option and add local reefers to your Friends list. Then, you can see the GPS location of other reefers in your area too!

You guys may want to contact your group moderator and ask them to sticky this.
