Thanks! I'm not quite sure exactly how long I've had it. It started out under a 150MH in the center of my 210, right where I originally placed it. About (alomst) a year and a half ago, I changed to LED's. It hasn't moved since day 1. I got it from RHS. It arrived in great shape.

Grogeous anemone congrats. They grow quick, mine was under AI.

Do you feed it?

Take a pic under blue leds they glow red

Thanks! I have fed it very little the last year, but started feeding a bit more lately. I've tried to keep the feedings down so it doesn't take up the tank too fast, but sure likes to be fed, and I see a big difference in it's posture when it's fed well. Soon, quite a few corals will need to be moved for it. I know these guys turn into huge monsters.

Interesting about the glowing red tips. In real life, the tips seem to have a more yellow or orange/brown color to them under tank led's. In pictures, they look green. With a flashlight, they also look green. The first, fourth, and last pic look closest to color in real life. The second and third pic were taken flash only in the dark at night, a few hours after lights out.

And you have three clowns in one. I had 4 in mine it was over a foot.

Awsome anemone. Its looks amazingly healthy. I wish rhs would open and get more

It seems merten have some effect that it allows harems. I think it has to do with size and their ability to maintain folds that can seperate and hide clowns

Had both marc, i had plumbing issues and had to take down the tank.
It was a white bonnet female a sub adult orange skunk and a juvk blue stripe and a juvi orange skunk

The mertens went to a guy in MA. and the clowns to a local store.

By update, you mean more pictures? It's doing very well. A very hearty anemone. But, here's a pic I took yesterday of it. :)

wish i never sold mine

wish i never sold mine

looks great.

Seems like since RHS brought them in no one else has been able too.

Taylor yes, i have no luck whatsoever.

No one really imports them cause they as you can see color is mostly drab.

Its funny, the first ones I ever saw (10-15 years ago) were all a mustard yellow color and kind of attractive. Then I saw one that was silvery gray with white stripes. Since then all I see are brown with or without white stripes.
I know they come in bright green, but I have never seen one available.
I think a bigger problem than color is that small ones of any color are very hard to find.

I know they come in bright green, but I have never seen one available.

I've seen the green one in Daphne Fautin's book, and it's awesome! Unfortunately, I haven't seen another pic of one like that. I'd be happy just to find a healthy looking one at my LFS.

I really don't understand why they are so rare in the hobby? Whenever any come available people are willing to spend a good chunk of change to get their hands on them no matter what color they are.

Well, drab or not, this guy looks amazing to me. Brown sounds like an ugly color, until you see this one in person after lights have been on a while. It has 2 mouths. 1 main one, and one tiny one. The mouth is a flourescent green color, not sure if the photo shows it very well. The second mouth in the photo is at about 1 o'clock from the large mouth in the center. The little mouth looks like a propeller shape in the photo. It doesn't seem to take in food, but does respond to food.

I don't understand why they aren't around more often either. It seems very easy. Or, did I get lucky? Are they normally hard? I thought they were easy, but I've only tried this one.
