Wow very impressive after a year. So if I understand your tank is just pellets, powermodule and skimmer? Do you dose anything for your biopellets? Also did you starting with frags or mini colonies? Do you do anything for calcium and Alk besides the geo reactor?

Hi Clowndude, I do check Iodide, Strontiun, Iron, and most importantly Potassium, every other week when I do a 10% water change, Potassium is always being depleted very fast because of the BPs, the rest are hardly corrected.
My GEO handles the system quite well so far, I did have problems with the PH Probe and I had to bring CA an KH back on track, but the water changes and the reactor are enough for me.
Most of the corals came as frags, but I did get one or 2 colonies at the beginning.

Love the overflow....i wonder why tank builders in the states don't do more builds like this......or any for that matter.

How does that overflow work? I see how it skims the surface water, but how does it drain out the tank? The overflow looks so slim I don't see how you can get a bulkhead in there.

Hi JG, Mr Basso The father o Brazilian saltwater aquariums came up with this solution, it not only looks clean and nice, it works very well, and with a ball valve to regulate the flow it is dead silent. This is how it's built:

Hey clowndude, I use a Red Sea for the Potassium

And the Hanna Chcker for Iodine

I forgot to say, I use Brightwell's Potassium powder, and Brightwell's Lugol.

JG, I'm on a crazy work schedule, I'm away from home 15 days every month, so I like to check everything when I go away, but with the 10% water changes I do every 15 days is enough to keep it stable, only the K that requires a close look because of the BPs.

The bulkhead is glued with silicon inside the glass box and then the box is glued to the tank, you don't get access inside, since I use a ball valve to control the flow when I clean the tank I open the valve and the water flows very fast removing any debris that may settle in there.
