My turn for an ID

Just picked up two hitchikers free from my LFS that came in a load of Bali LR today (owner knew I was looking for one)

Both appear to be bashers although it's hard to tell on one because she's only 3/4"

I know this is a bad pic, but it was the best I could get out of about 20 during acclimation.

and this pic is much better -- she's about 1.5" long

Going to go troll Dr Roys list to see what species come from Bali in the mean time.

From the photographs, I can only make positive identifications to genus. The first is Gonodactylellus, possibly G. affinis. The second is Haptosquilla. It is in the trispinosa group (as opposed to H. glyptocercus), but that is about all I can tell.

Thanks Roy -- I'll try to get better pictures of the electric green on when I can -- is there something in particuliar I should look to try and get pictures of to help with an ID?

so for us non-scientific folks - a shot of the Haptosquilla's back and shots of the tail of the Gonodactylellus...

I'll ask them if they can pose nicely for photos :D
