My Ultimate 150 Cube Build with many pics... Looking for experienced input

I'm on my second fill of RO water through tank so I hopefully limit the amount of phosphates leaching out of rock. I have a 45 gallon filled with live rock that has been without light for 6 months or more. I'm going through and trying to route the 37 electrical plugs underneath cabinet (nightmare) to run to the 5 GHL strips behind tank. After programming everything sit back at let it cycle....

Wiring equal nightmare in tight places!!

So the saltwater is in and the cycle has started....

And a bunch of equipment fit underneath a 36" x 36" stand !!

I understand your pain. For some reason, the space under cubes aren't particularly friendly places to work. You sir, have mastered the art of packing 10lbs of madness into 5lbs of plumbing and electrical artistry. :spin2: However I don't envy your job of maintaining it.

Everything is looking great. Can't wait to see it glowing with colorful corals!

Ya I have two mp10's , one in the main section of sump that comes on every 6 hours to keep waste up in the water for the skimmer to take out. Have the second in the bottom over over flow to to the same thing. Main objective was to try and keep system clean so I can feed heavy.

Haven't updated in awhile, corals are in and my two Picasso clowns. Also added my four bubble tips. Went through a couple bacteria blooms and then had a late ammonia spike after I added coral. Crossing fingers but all looks well now. My tanks in garage are getting crazy warm so I'm bringing temps down with fans tonight and will be transferring my big Naso Tang and the yellow tang inside.

setting up the same sps tank here shortly. Do you think the 250w mh is enough light for the depth and coral? I am still undecided on that but will get a ballast that will allow both i guess. How are the t5 retros? they look great! do you think you could have gone with a couple less or not?

would love full tank shot when you get some time to see the coral!

Those appear to be lab grade magnetic stir plates possibly with built heat plate as well. I have some that appear very similar in my lab at work kinda hard to tell from the picture if they're the same thing though.

Yes i do with all the added T5's, I'll do some PAR measuments today and post. I did prepare though using a switchable ballast and fixture that allow for 400w Halide. As the tank grows out then the 400w might be needed. I love the T5 retros for there size and the ability to to do dawn to dusk with the different power cords for the 5 of them. I could have but I relly like the variety of T5 bulbs you can use with the ten of them!

yep they are stirrers but minus the heat plate. They stir a few times a day to keep the dosing liquids from separating. Marina Fauna Amino and Ultra Organic is what is in there now. Overkill yes but I want to keep the maintenance down to minimum and I believe that helps.
