@Elgringo - I agree.

@Martini5788 - It was caught live but I don't know when it got tangled in the net, it was slightly alive when photos were taken but died in the freezer not long after from well the freezer lol...insane coloration never seen a peacock so vibrant.
 
The animal was on the brink of death hence why I could hold it so easily, there was no coming back from the state that it was in...

I needed to preserve the individual as best I could before I have the next things done which I needed parts off it for.

In a day or 2 I'll be heading out to get a large spearer for the same purposes.

These are merely 2 individuals...beyond the countless out there and much like the people here after I take from the corpses what I need the rest will be eaten/utilized there will be no waste.

Having said that what would be the proper way to kill a mantis that one doesn't want to damage superficially (externally) and be realistic, I don't want to read "electrocution"....
 
I'm gonna be honest, I have been trying to figure out what exactly you do for a long time but haven't found anything out yet, except that you live overseas and keep a lot of mantis'. So what is your plan with these 2 mantis?
 
I keep a lot of what I do a secret :)

But you can rest assured that it is all done so in order for a huge publicity stint...

I feel that the more I keep hidden, the more impact it has when I make it more public, I like the build up and suspense side of things and it has worked wonders in the past for smaller things I have done in this field.

Magicians do not tell you there tricks for a reason so their tricks can remain "magic" ;)...

It should be clear that all I do and work towards is effectively for all those upon this sub forum and anyone globally that enjoys Mantis Shrimp / Stomatopods, even if certain particular individuals within do not agree with my approach...

It will be more then clear what I have been doing once the "cloak" is removed, but not yet.. ;)
 
Hahaha well that was cryptic. And when will this be revealed? From an earlier post it looked like you were developing a video game of some sort from the graphics

I don't want to keep people waiting trust me on that front...

But nothing good ever come from rushing either...the sheer scope, scale and broad range of what I am doing is why it's taking so long but it will put us all on the map and with a significant stance to let the world know we are here!

And here to stay!

As for the live animal well as we discussed briefly earlier there really isn't a strong enough demand base (right now) for something so specific but....think broader/outside and then yes....there very much IS demand...
 
Yeah I mean you could take requests and find the specific animals that people want. I wouldn't try to make a huge business out of it right now but could be a nice side thing

It's mostly shipping that is the only deciding factor....

Either I can't do it because I just can't do it...
OR
I can do it but I can't in a logic sense because of costs...
OR
I can do it but I can't do it in the manner that I wish which is best for the customer so I won't...
OR
I can do it and I can do it in the manner that I wish which would just be awesome for everyone.

I do NOT like middle men, I want to get the animal from me to 'you' with nothing in between other then travelling, no middle men, cause they can make or break it effectively...

But If I can get them from me to you in a cost effective manner (for your sake and mine) and it can be done in a timely manner so that the animals don't die in transit....then it's full steam ahead, this is 1 of the many areas I am working on right now.

I pray I can as I know anyone that wants one prays I can to for their own sake, I'd love to supply species that people only seen pictures of or fantasized about keeping that would make me a very happy man (and no doubt the customer lol).
 
But there is red tape behind the red tape and behind that another 100miles of red tape and finally at the end..............more red tape -_-.... lol but I will not give up until I have exhausted ALL possibilities.
