unbelivable that is awsome love it. what is that tank thats in the 2 circles in the 4 and 5 pic

that is actually one tank with a center divider each side has its owen over flow and supply lines.
They are for my clowns and anenomes got tired of them moving around in my display stinging everything.
I have a green bubble tip in one side and a rose bubble tip in the other.
with a pair of true percs and a pair of black and white orc's
this system is conected to my main system.

I got some work done in the equipment room this weekend I'll get some pictures posted in a day or so.

Thanks for all the kind coments. Paul

I bought them used but pretty sure they are version 6 I really like them was not sure at the begining but after I got them hooked up I love the flow and you hardly notice them. I have six so far and I'm going to add another two.

I have made some more progress with the tank upgrade. Got the basement finished and also got the oak work done on the base of the tank at the top of the stone work.
I still have to finish the canopy but it's getting there.

Muligan, Did you build this tank your self. If so can you explain the process. I have access to as much glass as I want or need. I don't want to wake up to 300 gallons of water on the floor.

I had help from a buddie who has lots of experience with tank building.
But any questions you have I will answer the best I can.

Finally got some time and got the canopy pretty much finished.
Here are a few updated photos.

very nice unique set up, well done! love that achilles, looks fat and happy :) don't think I've seen one quite that big

how do you get access to the display for cleaning and reaching the bottom? doesn't look like enough room in the hood with the light fixtures in there.

I have four 250watt pendants hanging inside the hood and the tank is
32 inches wide plus the access doors are 20x20 each so that gives me
two openings of roughly 40"x20" on each long side. so I have tons of room even with the lights for working in the tank.

Plus I have each light setup with a short cord and a water proof plug
so if need be I can remove each light very effortlessly. But I have not needed to as of yet.

Wow. The tank is beautiful inside and out. I love how it integrates with the room. How did you get the edges of the portholes so perfect? Is it some kind of flexible trim under the sheetrock?
What kind of trim is around the tank? Normally I would be afraid to have a glass tank that big but the trim would make me feel safer.
Everything is done perfectly. I love the stand and hood, the external overflow, the lack of equipment in the display, the portholes.... I am the pickiest person too. The only negative is the location of the tank. This thing should be in the main living area of the house viewable from the street for all to enjoy ; )

The port holes were done with flexible bullnose drywall corners they are plastic goes on before mudding Just like normal corner bead.

The main tank has 3/4 inch solid oak trim work. there is four diferent pieces used to get the look I wanted. Plus yes helps give the tank more seam strength.

Since we have finished the basement we live in it pretty much all our free time never upstairs hardly anymore.
as for seeing it from the street. I have one basement window that faces the street, you can see the tank, but its the blue glow that gets people talking...lol
