mystery tantacle

i cant seem to get a picture. this creature came with my rock. a single long lite brown tentacle/appendage that only appears when the tank has no light. 2 to 3 inches long, and a 1/4 inch wide. sucks back into a hole in the rock when the light comes on. research has shed no light on this. please help.

From the description of the specimen you have found in your aquarium, we believe this to be a Peanut Worm. However, in order to positively identify the creature in question we would need to see a picture of the specimen. Once we have a picture we will be happy to help you identify whatever it may be.
