N E 1 using Prodibio?

Just to clear up something so every one understands
.
The "Big3" the Bioptim and Digest are used together at once (this is the same as the Bio clean kit, it has both in it) this is supposed to 0 out your nitrates/phosphates.
Once you have the nitrates/phosphates knocked down your corals will show a "lighting" due to the lack of nutrient's in the system
That's where the Reef Booster comes in
OK this is how this stuff is supposed to work.
I Just don't want anyone to kill anything off by not knowing the big3 need to be used with each other.

Doug

No the glass breaks clean, they give you a little rubber tube piece to break it, but I put a wash cloth over it as well as I don't want cut :D

Im assuming since it lowers the nutrients, macros are not needed then since it will prolly just die off?

Thanks for the great info Doug, I might just go this route on my next nano setup just to try it out... From what I've ready it looks like you are supposed to dose a full vial up to a certain gallonage any chance of an overdose in smaller setups? Should I consider adding only 1/2 or less then 1/2 a vial when dosed? If I'm do a coral only setup without any fish, should I still consider this method or maybe just the reef booster? I guess what I'm asking is what would you recommend for a SPS only setup (no fish) with a 14 gallon display and an other 10g in a sump/refugium (24 gallons total water)...

As far as I have read you can not over dose the Bioptim and Digest,
The booster will keep in the fridge if you refrigerate before and after dosing, this is the only one you can store the others go bad soon after opening if they sit, they react with air and go south.

So 1 vile of the Bioptim and Digest should be fine
But as far as I know/have read these are the only 2 safe to do so.

Also most of it does say "KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDERN" just so you know Eric.
These are little glass viles and will go up a childes nose or any where where else they try.
With the little one there I wanted you to know that

Thanks for the heads-up Doug, I've got plenty of storage he can't reach, but I'm still torn on how I want to do a setup, trying to research as much as I can. I need more room so I can have all the tanks I want... LOL!

I'm about to start building the sump and stand for my 14g nano (18x18x10) but I'm torn with how I should stock it... I originally and still want to do flowerpots, but afraid it will become too boring for me over time... Should I just consider doing a simple LPS/Softies/Fish setup??? No need for Prodibio unless I'm running SPS right? Decisions decisions...

I'm supposed to be working too, but I'm still waiting on access to all the databases we use... Until then, I'm free to surf. ;)

LOL
I would think it would become boring, but that's me :D
The big 3 I would think would work on any setup as the symbolic algae is supposed to benefit a great deal from it(color etc) my Carpet has expanded bigger then I have seen him
Not sure what it means yet though :)

If you break the cost per vile down with a 30 pack its about $1.20 a vile.
So after the first month I would say 14 bucks a month for what Im dosing that's a total of 12 viles
4 of the reef booster per month and 2 Biodigest, and 6 Bioptim per month.

I have approximately 150 gal total volume (600 liters)

Everyone needs to remember, I just started using this stuff :D
I don't want everyone running out and spending money on it because of me :p
A lot of folks have had good results with it and some have reported no change
So please take all this with a grain of salt ;)

My average cost for Zeo is around 7-8 bucks a week. Prodibio is definitely cheaper. I still have 2 months of zeo product left so I wont be switching till its gone. If you get great results in 2 months, Ill definitely try Prodibio. The good thing is, I will still have about another years worth of Zeo Bac and Food in which I can integrate with Prodibio kinda like Iwan did or does still.

THat stuff sounds great. I need to read all that info still. THere are so many viles. I still have another four and half weeks for my recovery off of back surgery. No work for me.

I found a post a while back about a similar bio filtration by someone in Australia. I don't know where it is but its out there. I found it while researching Zeovit

A lot of reefers in the Boulder area have been using prodibio trying to acheive the results of Iwan. All of us have seen some changes, but nothing too dramatic. We are still trying to find the right mix of zeo and prodibio to get a colorful tank!

has not been to long dosed 2 times now but the brown junk is on the retreat more then it ever has.
So its doing something. :)
