N E 1 using Prodibio?

Dan, the bio kit has only 5 of each vial of the main 3.

I don't know about Doug, but I thought that was not enough for me to acurately test.

For 150G of total volume you need 4 reef booster, 2 Biodigest, and 6 Bioptim per month. So you will be out at the end of the month and that doesn't seem long enough to test the product.

If you are going to test in your 180 then you won't even make a month on the kit.

So why not buy more packs? Or are you guys stock pileing for the individual ampules then? I was just trying to figure out the most economical way.

I haven't started it yet, and may not depending on Doug's results, but I would order in 30 packs as well. That comes out to just over a buck a vial.

Oh ok. Thanks for the tips. Are you using the same vial's as Doug? I was thinking about going with what they use in there Bio kit Reef. Just buy bigger individually. And the biotpm.

Bioptim and Digest and then the reefbooster are the "Big 3"
They have other prod but right now I have chosen not to use them.
These are the 3 I am using right now

I started with the bioptim and digest only. I started dosing about 2 weeks ago. I like the idea of this stuff sealed in a glass vial, it makes me think they cant get contaminated or leak, or be tampered with, nice idea.
Its fairly easy to use, you have to break both ends off of one type of vial and the other break one end then shake it out. It would have been nice if they sent any kind of directions for use with it. All I got was a simple dosage rate printed on the box.
I'll post here if I see anything good or bad in the next month or so.

No I have stopped the Ozone.
I have had 3 sps corals bleach, both torts and another arco. well bleach and die :(
and my chips arco no longer has PE. still green just no PE

All other corals are fine sps and LPS and my Carpet.
All brown algae is gone as is the red hair algae!, and I am feeding heavy, the trigger makes sure of that LOL What a PIG!

I will dose a reef booster tonight and see how my elegance coral reacts to it this time.
If it retracts all together again after this dose... experiment is over and I will stop dosing Prodibio.

You know I have had no negative reactions, I started prodibio and some of the zeovit feeds at the same time. Nothing has bleached the tank really looks about the same as it did before. I have heard of people having a lot of problems though, I dont know why but some reefs just cant take the change I think. I agree though if I had the problems you are having I'd qquit also. Thats what experiments are all about right? BTW if you do quit and I keep going with it I'd buy your remaining stuff so you dont end up stuck with it.
Chris

Yup. I lost 6 or 7 sps when I started. The problem was my tank was set up for almost 2 years when I started zeo. They say newer tanks will have less problems with zeo and Im assuming that goes with Prodibio too.

Could be, the SPS can be replaced not to worried about them
My Carpet and elegance (that is doing excellent by the way :D) is another matter!
But I am done with the every week dose of the biodigest and bioptim that has gone to every 15 days.
so maybe that will make a difference? we will see...

yeah I have been trying to dose small amounts every few days but am careful about it. They say dont overdose with prodibio or zeo, I guess thats good, but scarey at the same time you know?
Chris

Its official :( My Elegance hates Prodibio.

As soon as the reefboster hit the water PE went from 3+ inches to 1/2 in and although it did not retract all the way in this time it was definitely not happy.

It don't seem like its hurting it at all but it does make it react, the opposite of most the other corals.
and it makes my skimmer go nuts for about 3 days...
*sigh* I will have to think this one through a bit before I continue or suspend dosing.
