Name your tang!

7" Naso and 5" hippo in a 125. Best friends most of the time. Naso puts the hippo in his place when he gets annoying.

Sorry I noticed a few spelling as well as gramatical errors in my last post. As for the Sohal I did about as much research as I could to learn about tangs and figured I would try introducing the least aggresive and ending with the most aggresive. So far it has worked, although i'm still keeping an eye out on the Sohal. I really am hoping that by having such a high number of tangs of different sizes it will help offset their aggression....will keep you guys posted.

Click on his red house, and prepare to be amazed!

64Ivy has one of the best looking tanks, and websites around, imo.

Not to mention his great contributions to TV land!

Let's see those streamers. And how do you tell the difference between M/F Naso (is it the streamers)? Same with the Vlamingi.

Raymond

For a naso, it's teh streamers. Also on the vlamingi but as the get bigger, the male gets a different color patteren than the female.

Here's a link to my thread of building my setup w/ some pics of the fish.

There are more pic's posted thruout the thread.

I also have/had a male wantanabi angle in there but he has since switched/changed to a female. I'm trying to find another one so that hopefully she will turn back to the beautiful male she once was.

Oh and before you ask, yes the toadstool in the pic's is a actual 15" across. I measured it to be sure. ;)

Granted this was a few years ago (2003) so the fish were a bit smaller but you have to admit, getting four tangs together in one shot is quite an accomplishment at any size. Haven't managed to get 'em since but I will keep trying. Never know when I'm gonna get called out again. ;)

those are beautiful. getting them all together for a nice shot like that is amazing. any tips for keeping the sohal acting peaceful with the others?

I think a large tank helps a lot. So does keeping everyone well fed. But in my case, the Sohal was the last tang to go in so he's had the same tankmates a long time now. Then again, maybe none of that means anything and I'm just really, really lucky. :)

Here's my juvi, still in its lemon peel mimic stage. Drastic change indeed ;)
