Nano Stream in 120 Reef

I am in the process of planning a 120 SPS reef. I was planning on the 2 Tunze 6000's on a controller But I am worried about the size. Will 2 New 6055 nano streams on a controller provide enough flow in my tank?

i have two 6100's in my 120, and i dont notice them anymore. Especially when you see the results from them. You wont be worried about how they look

i would say the nano's won't push enough for a 120 sps. i know many sps 75s that have 2 normal streams and that's right on.

The maximum I would do with the 6055 is a 120. Here is the drawback though, you have no flexibility to upgrade. If you buy 6000's and you are totally into SPS, as the SPS grow and acclimate to flow which is more the norm in nature and not what they have had in holding tanks, you can upgrade the 6000 to a 6100 and get the added flow without spending much more. With the 6055 you may need to add a 3rd pump down the road. The nice thing about the 6055 is the ability to aim the pumps.

Would three nano streams be better on a controller than 2 6000?
1 pump on each side on in the center. the center could be a on a pulse sequence and the sides set on a tide sequence? Just a Thought?

It is only possible to run one program, so running pulse and tide together is not an option. 3 6055 would be fine, it just uses more power and costs more than 2 6000.

Upon re thinking this, I am now thinking of using two of he 6055's only as a tide effect. one on each end of the tank set on 6 hour timer. and then using wavy seas on my returns. Would the 6055 provide enough power across a 48 in tank?

The 6055 is controllable, it really makes no sense to spend the money if you will not be using a controller, you could use a few 6045 instead.
