Nano tunze wavebox click

Is it common for a nano wavebox to click? It seems as if the impelar is making those noise. The individual that sold to me said he asked Tunze and they said it was common and that it goes away. I bought it in Dec and used it for an hour. Its been sitting there cause I've been scared to use it. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

If you bought the box brand new then the clicking sound may go away after couple weeks but i would take it apart and check to see if anything abnormal... How loud is the clicking sound?

Its a light click. I guess I'll take it apart then run it. Why would a click sound even exist for a new product? Just sounds odd to me. Thanks for the fast reply.

Frag, the pump need time to break in. Certain part may be a bit light and it need time to loosing up a bit...

The click will not hurt anything, I agree with Steve, let it run for a couple weeks and if it doesn't go away you may need a disk to insert under the drive unit. It is a shim as the click can come from the drive unit pulling in when the pump turns on and clapping against the bottom the shim takes up the space.

When you state disk insert what are you reffering to? Any links of how the disk should be a washer for some reason comes to mind. Thanks

Yes, the disk is a washer that sits on the shaft below the magnet/impeller.
