nano wavebox placement

usuallly you want these to point across your tank length wise. i am asuming you have a 4 foot tank? i dont think that this is going to be enough flow for you. just my opinion but i have a 150gallon 5 footer and i am running the big tunze wavebox, a tunze 6060 and a vortech mp40. i was hoping i could get rid of the vortech when i got the wavebox but there is just no way. it makes a nice wave in my tank but is just not enough flow so i will either keep the vortech or sell it and get a wavebox extension.
The nano works mostly on displacement while the full size wavebox has more flow. As a result, the nano can work very well placed in a back corner aimed to the front, it will still produce a side to side wave and is more discrete this way. Just install it so the top 1/2" sticks up out of the water and it is all the way to a corner.
Exactly how i have mine mounted on my 120. Dial it in to about 12 noon, 11 something or other.

I am thinking about getting the nano wavebox and would like if you could clarify a few things for me.
With your above answer do you mean that the wavebox can point from the back corner onto the front glas and still create a wave going the length of the aquarium? How is that possible?
Another question: I have a center overflow box. If I were to place a wavebox in one of the back corners pointing towards the opposite back corner how would the overflow box obstruct the waves? If I place it in the very back the "nozzle" of the wavebox would point directly towards the overflow box (distance from nozzle to overflow about 1 foot). Will the wave be able to navigate the overflow box so to speak?

It is best to place it so the overflow box is not in the way. Yes, if you place it in the back aimed to the front it will make a side to side wave when the frequency is set properly, however the wave will be a little higher in the front corner, and lower in the bcak corner, it is a little bit diagonal but not much. Since the nano wavebox mainly produces the wave by displacement (the box emptying and filling) this is possible.
the wave box does not cause a flow like a powerhead does, it does suspend matter as if it was floating and the filter picks it up had one 4 years nowits a very natural flow the fish float to like they are riding the waves a great product mine is in back corner facing legnth of tank i can easily get a large wave tunning is the key needs very little adjustment
