nanocube 12 help please!!!

how do you take the top off with out breaking it the pump is out when i got the tank (it is used) and i have a maxi-jet 600 that i hope i can use please help!!!

On my Nanocube 24 it's easy (and I just did it tonight).

Open the hood all the way so it's verticle. If you stand in front of the tank you can see the hinges on the sides that hold it.

Grab a hold of 1 side and gently pull the top towards you while you (or someone else) keeps the tank steady (Don't wanna knock it over )

It should "pop" right off.

Are you sure you need to remove the hood to swap the pump? I have never had to but I don't have a 12 so they may be made differently.

Do you have a 12DX or an older OG model? You can put a MJ1200 in the DX without removing the hood.
