I need some help with some questions I have,
1-I recently set-up a 12 nano and changed the pump for a spare little pump I had extra, the pump is a quiet one 800 which pumps 220 gal/hr, it seems like the pumps of choice for this upgrade are the 600 to 1200 MJ's has anybody used or have an opinion on the quiet one I am using?
2-Can anyone explain to me in detail what is that upgrade I read often in this forum in which you place a MJ in the first chamber? What is the purpose? Which direction do you place it....etc.

No idea about the pump, I upgraded mine to a MaxiJet1200. If you think the flow is sufficent in your tank just stay with what you have.

There is a DIY thread that shows a variation on the first chamber pump. Go back to the forum, the second thread down it says The Nano Reefs DIY Thread. Third post down by Agu is a link to a way to slip the extra pump into chamber one.

Most people upgrade to Maxijets not only for better flow but because of lower wattage thus less heat. Something to look into.
