NanoStream Magnet Anti-Vibration Pad?

MeuserReef

Welcome to the next level
I bought a 6025 and a 6045 used and am interested to know if they originally came with any sort of rubber pad to help reduce the noise caused by the "wet side" magnet vibrating against the glass of the tank?

I know that I can just make one from silicone, but would like to know if there is an OEM soulution to this.

ps..... GREAT products BTW. I'd also like to know if there are any "powered by TUNZE" stickers left out there? :D

Well there should be 4 clear vinyl "dots" that are attached to the contact side of both magnets. These dots seem to prevent the magnets from sliding and also help from any vibration issues.

These dots should be afixed to the 4 evenly spaced holes at the outer edge of the magnet.

Does your pump have these?

Nope... no "dots". I thought that there should be something on the magnet for this reason.

Do you know if its possible to order replacement dots? Part #?

I have a 6025, it has the space for the dots I think, but I don't recall seeing any dots with it when I bought it. I could have missed them as it was over a year ago. My 6055s both came with the dots. I didn't have any issues with noise on the 6025, but the dots do keep the pumps in place.

That's strange. I would appear that either the 6025 don't normally come with these dots or that a mistake was made.

They are 3M Bumpons, they are in every Nano Stream and Stream 2 Box, their are 8 of them on a small strip of wax paper that is about 3/4" by 1.5", it is part 6200.509, you can also get them at any Woodcraft store and many hardware stores, they are the little rubber feet used on jewelry boxes and the like to protect your furniture.
