Hi Roger,

I recently purchased some streams (6025 and 6055). They have a louder vibrating noise coming from them as they are on. Not a chattering on start-up, just a loud humming (sometimes click) that can be heard from a distance.

I took everything apart, gave it a vinegar bath, and the same thing occured. I even checked titanium? rods and they are intact. I looked at the Tunze site and the impellars/washers I have look different than the ones pictured. Do I need to get new impellers/washers?

Any advise is appreciated,

Thanks!

Jon

Were they quieter and have gotten noisy or were they always noisy? How are the drive units/disks different? We have used 4 configurations, first was white disk, white drive units, then we added a stainless steel washer between the two and then we swicthed to graphite reinforced plastic (grey) for the disk and drive unit and then a double thickness disk in the same material.

They have always been a bit noisy. Not horrible, just there. The disks appear to be the stainless steel washers, and the drive units are white with the typical color magnet.

Can you go without them for a week? If you could send them in I could probably solve this problem.

I could, however, the only problem is getting them shipped out in a reasonable amount of time. Another thing I forgot to mention earlier, is that I purchased them used.

Send them in, After November the 6025 will have been available for 2 years so a receipt will be required, if you can send them in ASAP it won't be an issue.

If the clamps and magnets are fine, don't include them. Do include a note with your return address.
